Privacy Policy
This policy describes what Cadence collects, how it is used, who it is shared with, and the choices you have. We collect only what we need to operate the Service.
1. What we collect
Account data. Name, email, and authentication identifiers from our identity provider when you sign in.
Project content. The audio files, lyrics, artwork, and project settings you upload or create. Derived data such as section timings, line timings, audio analysis, and rendered videos.
Billing data. When you purchase render packs we store the order record. Card details are handled directly by our payment processor and never touch our servers.
Operational data. Logs, error reports, and basic usage signals needed to debug and operate the Service.
2. How we use it
We use your data to operate Cadence: to authenticate you, to run alignment and audio analysis on your projects, to render videos, to bill paid features, to communicate about the Service, and to investigate abuse.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your uploaded audio, lyrics, or rendered videos to train third-party AI models.
3. Service providers
Cadence relies on a small set of processors to operate. Each receives only the data necessary for its role:
- Clerk — authentication and account identifiers.
- Convex — primary application database, file storage, and background job execution.
- Stripe — payment processing for render packs.
- ElevenLabs — forced alignment of lyrics against your uploaded audio.
- Google Gemini — text-only section detection and labeling. Audio is never sent to Gemini.
- Amazon Web Services (Remotion Lambda, R2-compatible storage) — render execution and asset delivery.
- Vercel — hosting for the web app.
4. Retention
Project content stays in your account until you delete it. When you delete a project we remove the associated audio, derived timings, and renders. Account-level data is retained while your account is active and removed or anonymized after account deletion, subject to legal and accounting retention requirements.
5. Your choices
You can delete projects from the dashboard at any time. To delete your account or request a copy of your data, email us at the address below. Depending on your jurisdiction (including the EU/EEA, the United Kingdom, and California), you may have rights to access, correct, port, or delete your personal information, and to object to certain uses. We honor those requests where required by law.
6. Cookies
Cadence uses cookies set by our authentication provider to keep you signed in. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
7. Security
We rely on the security controls of our hosting and storage providers and follow standard practices for credential handling and access scoping. No service is perfectly secure; please use a unique password and report any suspected compromise to us.
8. Children
Cadence is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Changes to this policy
We will update the "last updated" date at the top of this page when we change this policy and will notify you in-app or by email if a change is material.
10. Contact
